Just a little GPTLFEP (Gratuitous Preparing-To-Leave-For-Escapade Post). As always, I'm jazzed about going, although truly sad that several of the people I most look forward to seeing won't be there this year.

I definitely need to get out of town for a bit; I just learned today about some changes being rammed through at my job that ... well, let me just say that while I'm capable of putting up with rules and policies that don't make any sense to me, what I'm *not* willing to do is to enforce such rules and policies on other people. Which is what I might be required to do. I shut myself in my office for a while and stormed and seethed and muttered some magnificent take-this-job-and-SHOVE-it speeches. But next week things may look a little less dire. I dunno.

Got to spend some time yesterday with the wonderful Debchan, chatting and drinking wine and viewing the two new vids she and Laura S. are sending to Escapade. It just sucks that neither of them will be there to see the audience reaction, because I think both vids are marvelous. I'll have to try to be diligent about note-taking this year, so I can do semi-coherent con reports. (Memo to self: Stay sober. Get some sleep.) (Self: Sssshhyeah, *right.*)

Back on Monday, barring catastrophes.
